Job Description:

Indraprastha Power Generation Co. Ltd. (IPGCL) requires a Biometric Machine Operator on a contractual basis for a period of two (2) years. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring biometric attendance systems and ensuring accurate attendance records of employees and contractual staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage biometric attendance machines installed at IPGCL premises
• Ensure daily attendance marking and data accuracy
• Download, upload, and maintain attendance data as required
• Generate attendance reports and submit them to concerned departments
• Coordinate with HR/Admin for attendance discrepancies and corrections
• Perform basic troubleshooting of biometric devices
• Ensure proper functioning of machines including power and network connectivity
• Maintain confidentiality and data security of attendance records
• Coordinate with technical teams for machine maintenance and upgrades

Technical Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Basic understanding of Biometric Systems
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware & Networking
• Basic concepts of Internet, DNS, DHCP, Ping, and Subnetting
• Familiarity with Windows OS and MS Excel
• Ability to handle attendance software and databases

Educational Qualification:

• Minimum 10+2 / ITI / Diploma (Computer / IT preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in handling biometric systems or attendance management
• Experience in PSU / Government organizations will be an added advantage

Other Requirements:

• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in shifts if required
• Physically fit to work at plant/site locations
• Punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented

Contract Terms:

• The appointment shall be purely on a contract basis for two years
• No claim for permanent employment shall be entertained
• All terms and conditions will be governed by IPGCL and contractor agreement

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
