As a Biomedical Engineer, your role will involve installing, calibrating, and maintaining biomedical equipment and instruments. You will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and quality assurance checks to ensure optimal functionality. In the event of equipment malfunctions, you will troubleshoot and conduct timely repairs to minimize downtime. It will be essential for you to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards such as NABL, NABH, and ISO. Additionally, accurate documentation of service, maintenance schedules, and equipment history will be part of your responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Installing, calibrating, and maintaining biomedical equipment and instruments. - Performing routine preventive maintenance and quality assurance checks. - Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing timely repairs. - Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. - Maintaining accurate documentation of service, maintenance schedules, and equipment history. - Training healthcare and laboratory staff on proper usage and handling of equipment. - Coordinating with equipment vendors for spare parts, warranty claims, and technical support. - Assisting in planning and procurement of new biomedical devices. - Staying updated on advancements in biomedical technology and recommending upgrades when necessary. In addition to the key responsibilities, the job requires the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing biomedical equipment. - Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Please note that this is a full-time position located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and the work will be conducted in person.
