Bioassay Scientist

Role Overview: As an Analytical Development Scientist, you will be responsible for departmental operations and project delivery. You will work closely with the project lead and Analytical Development Manager to ensure efficient use of time, maintain laboratory areas, provide training and troubleshooting support, and engage in compliance and improvement projects. Your role will also involve leading aspects of projects, planning and carrying out work to ensure effective project progression, supporting method development, and providing project support for analytical development. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring timely close out of deviations, upholding cGMP principles and ESH standards, and maintaining accurate records of laboratory work. Key Responsibilities: - Perform assigned work as agreed with the project lead and/or Analytical Development Manager - Maintain laboratory areas to meet client, regulatory GMP, and safety requirements - Provide training and troubleshooting support to production and stability Quality Control groups - Engage in compliance and improvement projects - Ensure economic use of resources and propose measures for cost reduction and waste minimization - Support training of new staff members - Lead aspects of projects and plan work to ensure effective project progression - Support method development, technical transfer, qualification, and validation activities - Provide project support for analytical development and ensure compliant introduction into QC, production, and stability groups - Ensure timely close out of deviations, change controls, and commitment tracking - Uphold cGMP principles and ESH standards - Record all laboratory work accurately and compile results for technical reports - Follow protocols and procedures for the work undertaken Qualifications Required: - BSc in a relevant Scientific discipline or equivalent - A minimum of 2 years analytical experience with a sound working knowledge of GMP & SHE standards - Highly developed interpersonal and team building skills,
