Job Description

As a Biomedical Engineer at Practo, you will be responsible for leading and executing the Assured Hospital Audits. Your main focus will be on evaluating and enhancing medical excellence standards across hospitals listed on Practo.com. This includes ensuring compliance with best practices in equipment use, maintenance, and patient safety. - Conduct comprehensive biomedical audits of hospitals participating in Practo's Assured program, covering equipment standards, maintenance protocols, and regulatory compliance. - Develop and utilize audit checklists aligned with NABH and other relevant healthcare quality standards. - Assess the functionality, calibration, and safety of medical equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Ensure hospitals adhere to stringent quality and safety standards in equipment use and maintenance. - Recommend corrective actions and improvements to address any non-compliance or gaps identified during audits. - Document findings and provide clear, actionable feedback for hospital management teams. - Collect, analyze, and report data on hospital infrastructure, equipment conditions, and patient safety metrics. - Generate detailed audit reports with insights, ratings, and improvement suggestions to shape hospital ratings on Practo.com. - Provide training sessions to hospital staff on equipment handling, preventive maintenance, and patient safety protocols. - Support hospital teams in implementing recommended improvements to ensure sustained medical excellence. - Work closely with Practo's Medical Excellence and Quality teams to update audit criteria and procedures based on the latest industry standards. - Identify and implement best practices to enhance hospital operations, safety, and patient care. - Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field; advanced certification in healthcare quality (e.g., NABH, ISO) is a plus. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment audits, healthcare quality assurance, or hospital engineering. - Knowledge of hospital accreditation standards, particularly NABH, and experience in maintaining healthcare safety and compliance standards. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying and resolving compliance issues.
