About the Role We’re hiring a BIM Technician for a UK-based lighting design firm that delivers award-winning architectural lighting schemes for projects across hospitality, residential, and retail sectors. With studios in both the UK and the Middle East, their diverse team brings together creativity, precision, and technical excellence to transform spaces through light. This is a permanent, full-time role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, design-led environment and brings hands-on experience with Revit and BIM workflows. You’ll work closely with experienced designers and engineers to produce lighting layouts, manage Revit families, and ensure seamless project coordination through BIM platforms. What You’ll Be Doing Develop and coordinate lighting layouts using Revit, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent Create and maintain parametric Revit lighting families that meet visual and technical requirements Support BIM coordination using BIM 360 / ACC, contributing to model sharing, clash resolution, and project compliance Collaborate with internal and external teams to align on project deliverables, QA processes, and BEP standards Uphold documentation quality and continuously improve BIM workflows Must-Have Skills 2+ years of hands-on Revit experience in a professional design setting 2+ years of AutoCAD experience for drawing production and layout accuracy At least 1 year of experience using BIM 360 / ACC for model collaboration and sharing Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving skills Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working on architectural lighting projects or in a lighting design environment Familiarity with Dialux or Relux for lighting simulations Knowledge of advanced Revit family creation and lighting fixture modelling Why Smart Workers Love It Here Fixed Shifts — 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM IST (Winter) No Weekend Work — Real work-life balance, not just words Day 1 Benefits — Laptop and full medical insurance provided Support That Matters — Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared True Belonging — A long-term home where your contributions are valued At Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.
