Billing Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Team Management & Operations
• Lead, guide, and mentor the charge posting team to ensure productivity and accuracy goals are met.
• Allocate workload, monitor team performance, and conduct regular reviews.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and maintain high-quality standards across all processes.

Charge Posting & Audit:

• Oversee accurate and timely entry of charges into billing systems across multiple specialties.
• Review and validate charges based on documentation, coding guidelines, and payer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with CPT/HCPCS, ICD, and modifier usage.
• Manage daily charge reconciliation and resolve discrepancies

Process Improvement & Compliance:

• Identify gaps and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and turnaround time.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all federal and state healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate with coding, billing, and AR teams to maintain a smooth RCM workflow.

Client Coordination & Reporting:

• Act as the primary point of contact for client escalations related to charge posting.
• Generate and deliver daily/weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Participate in client calls, audits, and business reviews efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in any discipline; certification in medical billing/coding preferred.
• 6-10 years of experience in US Healthcare RCM with at least 23 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of charge entry, charge audit, payer guidelines, coding principles, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in RCM tools, EMR/EHR systems, and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage teams and handle client interactions.
• Team productivity and retention.
