Bids & Proposal Specialist - Control & Protection

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the bidding process from the initial contact to contract signing. This includes managing the bid planning process, monitoring and reporting on bids, and identifying competitive advantages of solutions over competitor products/offerings. You will assist in developing bid strategies for complex bids, partner with various departments to develop responses, and serve as the single point of contact for customers during the bid process. Additionally, you will complete bid submissions, drive approvals, and continuously improve bid processes and tools. As an Experienced Professional, you will apply practical knowledge obtained through advanced education and work experience, working independently with general supervision to influence others within the job area. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review SLD & detailed scope of work, BOQ, Techno-commercial offer to Sales. - Provide optimized solutions to customers using Hitachi Solution portfolios. - Interpret single line diagram, Architecture, Layouts, Bill of material, specification, and other relevant documents for bid preparation. - Conduct Feasibility Study for technical/strategic positioning and commercial viability. - Optimize offerings with different product choices in coordination with Engineering & Supply chain. - Provide technical support to clients to persuade customers on capacity and offer complete solutions. - Communicate regularly with customers to update on new technologies, concepts, and products. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams like Supply Chain, Project Management, Engineering, and Contract Management. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience in Sales, Bids & Proposal for Control & Protection and Automation Product/solution. - Strong understanding of grid automation technologies, products, and solutions. Experience in Costing, Preparation of BOQ, Tendering, etc. - In-depth knowledge of Power System-Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Control & Protection requirements & standard schematics. - Knowledge of Relays & Protection system from 33kV to 765kV, SAS system, SAS architectures, Busbar & Generator protection, and Control IEDs. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.
