The opportunity As a professional responsible for the bidding process, you will be involved in every step from the initial contact to the contract signing. Your main tasks will include managing the bid planning process, monitoring and reporting on bids, and identifying the competitive advantages of our solution over competitor products. You will work closely with various departments such as sales, marketing, consulting, legal, and others to develop and package responses to bids. Serving as the single point of contact for customers during the bid process, you will collaborate with the Account Manager/Director. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing bid submissions, driving approvals, and managing risks. Your role will also involve developing and improving bid processes, tools, and databases. Being an Experienced Professional, you are expected to apply practical knowledge gained through advanced education and work experience. You will work independently with general supervision, facing difficult challenges that are typically not complex. Your ability to influence others within the job area will be crucial in explaining facts, policies, and practices. How you'll make an impact - Prepare and review SLD & detailed scope of work, BOQ, Techno-commercial offer to Sales. - Provide optimized solutions to customers using Hitachi Solution portfolios. - Interpret single line diagrams, architecture, layouts, bill of material, specifications, and other relevant documents for bid preparation. - Conduct feasibility studies focusing on technical/strategic positioning and commercial viability. - Optimize offerings with various product and solution choices available in the market, in coordination with Engineering & Supply chain. - Provide technical support to clients to persuade them on capacity and offer complete solutions. - Communicate regularly with customers, updating them on new technologies, concepts, and products. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Project Management, Engineering, and Contract Management. - Ensure knowledge of Project Risk identification & mitigation, Finance, and Sales Process for smooth project handover. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Your background - Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience in Sales, Bids & Proposal for Control & Protection and Automation Product/solution. - Strong understanding of grid automation technologies, products, and solutions. Experience in Costing, Preparation of BOQ, Tendering, etc. - In-depth knowledge of Power System-Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Control & Protection requirements & standard schematics. - Knowledge of Relays & Protection system from 33kV to 765kV, SAS system, SAS architectures. - Understanding of Busbar & Generator protection, Control IEDs-BCU, BCPU, RTU, Data concentrator, Gateways. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
