Benchling Technical Specialist

Benchling Description:

Addition of Benchling Application as used by Product Development group in TechOps.  Benchling R&D is a cloud-based platform for managing end-to-end scientific data, collaboration, and insight dashboards. The product allows users to configure workflows, design templates for various assays and provide permissions at different levels. 
A The high-level activities that will be performed by Service Provider will include: 

• Participate in requirement gathering sessions & support Kite in finalizing business requirements 
• Work with Benchling vendor in implementation plan preparation and tracking  
• Facilitate vendor Demos/POC to business 
• Design, test and implement new workflow/template and enhance existing workflows/templates as per business need. 
• Facilitate access provisioning & testing of the workflows and templates 
• Testing Assistance – provide information, documentation, and other assistance to support testing performed by others 
• Support Benchling vendor in migration of configuration between environments 
• Coordinate between business users and Benchling vendor team  
• Provide documentation support as per Kite's procedures 
• Support user adoption related initiatives 
• Help the process development users in setting up their inventory within Benchling 

Operations Activities:

• Service Request Management – address service requests related to access management etc.  
• Incidents Management – provide L2-L3 support in conjunction with Benchling vendor (if required) 
• Problem Management – participate in activities related to problem logging, root cause identification and CAPA.  
• Environment Management – manage different environments based on business needs 
• Coordinate with Benchling vendor and/or other Kite / Gilead IT team for service requests, incidents, problems and system management for resolution and closure 
• Documentation management as per Kite’s policies
