Role Overview

Control-M Lead

Key Responsibilities

Control-M Environment Management

• Manage and maintain the Control-M environment, ensuring smooth job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as:
• User management and access control.
• Agent configuration and deployment.
• Regular environment health checks and performance tuning.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of Control-M operators/support engineers.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
• Provide guidance and training to enhance team capabilities.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Develop dashboards and performance metrics for management review.
• Document processes, incidents, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and compliance.

Incident & Problem Management

• Handle job failures promptly and escalate issues as per defined protocols.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for quick resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify process gaps and propose improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and best practices for batch operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:

  45 years in Control-M batch scheduling and production support.

• Technical Expertise:

• Basic Control-M administration (installation, configuration, agents, and security).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments.
• Scripting knowledge (Shell/Batch) is a plus.

• Process Knowledge:

  Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

• Leadership:

  Excellent communication and team coordination skills.

• Reporting:

  Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to create dashboards.

• Problem-Solving:

  Ability to troubleshoot complex scheduling issues and drive resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Control-M upgrade or migration projects.
• Exposure to automation tools and API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of cloud-based Control-M environments.
