Job Description

Job Title : Backup Engineer - CommVault L2

Location : Bengaluru

Notice Period : Immediate Joiner (Less than 30 days)

Job Summary:

Backup Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Provide
24x5 operational support
in a rotational shift environment, ensuring timely resolution of backup and recovery incidents and requests.
Manage and resolve tickets/cases through standard
ITSM tools
in accordance with SLAs.
Perform
end-to-end backup and recovery operations
using
Commvault
, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Conduct detailed
log analysis
and issue resolution for backup failures and restore operations.
Support backup and recovery of various environments including:

Windows and Linux file systems
VMware virtual machines
Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases

Manage
Commvault components
, including
Hyperscale and HSX platforms
.
Utilize
JavaScript to Command Center integration
for automation and reporting where applicable.
Apply moderate-level
networking knowledge
to troubleshoot data flow and connectivity issues.
Work with
storage systems
and maintain moderate expertise in enterprise storage products.
Contribute to
basic cybersecurity practices
in backup and data protection operations.
Document solutions, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure process consistency and knowledge sharing.
