Backend Team Lead

Critical Skills to Possess:

• 5+ years of Back End Development & at least 2 years of People Management experience.
• Strong Software coding skills & ability to perform in a dynamic, Agile & entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JIRA, Bitbucket.
• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Experience in breaking a monolith into microservices.
• Knowledge of Web Application frameworks and experience with Cloud services (Advantage – GCP/AWS).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build best-in-class developer experiences that enhance product adoption and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and manage one of the backend teams, driving successful execution of the product roadmap and key program deliveries.
• Perform architectural reviews, design evaluations, and hands-on code reviews to continuously raise the technical bar of the platform.
• Demonstrate strong operational leadership by managing and optimizing highly scalable, business-critical platform services.
• Contribute hands-on to development activities (up to 50% involvement), ensuring high-quality engineering output.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor team members to build a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture.
