Backend Engineer

As a Backend & DevOps Engineer at our Surat location, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling real-time infrastructure to support global communication. Your role will involve working on distributed microservices, low-latency APIs, cloud-native systems, and production-grade DevOps pipelines. Your key responsibilities will include building fault-tolerant services such as WebRTC SFU, TURN/STUN, and analytics pipelines. You will also be developing RESTful & WebSocket APIs with ultra-low latency, managing cloud infrastructure using AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker, implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and observability, as well as optimizing databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis for scale. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in backend development & DevOps. You must possess a strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/2, and WebRTC. Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm is essential. Proficiency in Node.js, Golang, or Python is required, along with familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. A solid foundation in Linux and Git-based workflows is also necessary. It would be advantageous if you have experience with SIP, RTP/RTCP, GStreamer, FFmpeg, open-source contributions, or SRE practices.
