Backend Engineer

Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer, you will be an individual contributor expected to meet the requirements of a highly skilled team with extensive technical expertise in developing applications for the US mortgage market. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend services and applications using C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework. Your role will also involve leading the implementation of robust integration solutions, working extensively with SQL databases, ensuring application reliability through testing and security measures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating technical solutions to team members and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and Maintain Backend Systems: Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and applications using C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework. - Integration Expertise: Lead the implementation of robust integration solutions, including designing and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs, handling authentication protocols like OAuth, and integrating third-party services. - Database Management: Work extensively with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for writing complex queries, query optimization, and data modeling; experience with ORMs like Entity Framework or Dapper is essential. - Testing and Security: Ensure application reliability by writing unit tests, integration tests, and adhering to secure coding best practices to mitigate vulnerabilities. - Collaboration and Tools: Work closely with cross-functional teams, using Git for version control and managing CI/CD pipelines through tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps. - Problem-Solving and Communication: Demonstrate strong debugging skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to team members and stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Working experience in building applications within the US Mortgage Domain. - Expected to have good communication and experience in working directly with US-based customers. - Expected to work at least 4 hours overlap with US Pacific business hours. - Adherence to Information Security Management policies and procedures.,
