Backend Engineer

As a highly capable Backend Developer at QueueBuster, your primary focus will be to optimize the performance of our web-based application. You will be responsible for developing server-side logic, maintaining the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to server-side requests. Collaboration with front-end application developers, designing back-end components, and integrating data storage and protection solutions will be key aspects of your role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work with the team to design and build backend applications and services - Own application features end-to-end, from design to post-launch support - Deploy and maintain applications on cloud-hosted platforms - Build performant, scalable, secure, and reliable applications - Write high-quality, clean, maintainable code and conduct peer code reviews - Develop backend server code, APIs, and database functionality - Propose coding standards, tools, frameworks, automation, and processes - Lead technical architecture and design for application development - Work on POCs, try new ideas, and influence the product roadmap - Update and enhance application features to improve performance - Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 4+ years of experience in Node.js, MySQL, and backend development - Experience in PHP and NoSQL preferred - Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills - Excellent debugging and optimization skills - Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs - Expertise in Web Server setup/management with at least one of Nginx, Tomcat - Experience with relational SQL, NoSQL databases, AWS technologies - Strong foundation in computer science, OOPS, data structures, algorithms, and software design - Proficient in Agile or Scrum methodologies - Knowledge of Cloud Computing, threading, performance tuning, and security QueueBuster, led by Bhanu Chauhan, values high ownership, a positive work attitude, and continuous learning of new tools and technologies.
