Job Description

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and WebSocket endpoints for real-time and turn-based HTML5 game features.
Architect and implement backend services integrated with Unity via SDKs, plugins, or custom APIs.
Implement secure authentication, authorization, and user data storage solutions.
Build and maintain systems for user management, leaderboards, achievements, inventory, and cloud-based save states.
Collaborate closely with frontend/game developers to ensure robust, efficient data exchange and synchronization.
Ensure high performance and uptime of backend services, optimizing for latency and scalability.
Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues;

Required Skills & Experience:

2-4 years of professional backend development, ideally with online/web/ Unity games.
Proficiency in Java, with experience in WebSocket and REST API development using Spring Boot.
Database expertise: PostgreSQL, Redis.
Experience using cloud-based BaaS (e.g., Photon, PlayFab, Firebase, AWS, GameSparks) for storage and real-time features.
Ensure security best practices in data storage, player transactions, and game logic.
Collaborative, proactive mindset; ability to ensure backend features align with game design and UX.
Strong communication and teamwork in agile environments.
