Backend developer

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-5 years of experience in Backend Development
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Strong experience in designing backend systems and architecture, combined with solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  
• Hands-on expertise in building scalable, high-performance services, with a deep understanding of modern backend frameworks and cloud infrastructure.
  
• Experience with code reviews, mentoring engineers, improving code quality, and driving best engineering practices.
  
• Good time management and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Technical Skills

• Strong logical and analytical skills to work on a problem from different perspectives.
  
• Good exposure to back-end programming languages with hands-on Java with either Spring / Micronaut / Vertx frameworks. Ideally, they should be comfortable with more than one programming language.
  
• Sound understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  
• Experience with building and maintaining microservices.
  
• Experience with building, designing, integrating, monitoring, and documenting public APIs and microservices.
  
• Exposure to distributed systems, messaging queues, caching technologies, and microservices patterns.
  
• Exposure to AWS and provisioning infrastructure as code.
  
• Experience with containers and container management platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  
• Systemic exposure to VCS (GIT), issue tracking (JIRA), knowledge bases (Confluence). Ability to continuously structure and organize the code base, anticipate technical debt, and do peer code reviews.
  
• Experience working with mobile as well as web-based applications.
  
• Good to have: Domain knowledge in the BFSI tech stack.
