Backend Developer

We are looking for a skilled PHP/MySQL Developer with hands-on experience in MAMP/LAMP server environmentsto join our growing technology team. The candidate will be responsible for handling ongoing software development, creating new modules, optimizing existing features, and maintaining server stability. This role requires a strong technical foundation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and deploy new modules and features for existing software systems. Maintain and improve ongoing projects with bug fixes, optimizations, and performance enhancements. Handle MAMP/LAMP server environments for development, staging, and production. Write clean, reusable, and well-documented PHP and SQL code. Design and optimize MySQL queries, database schemas, and indexes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, operations, and business) to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure code security, scalability, and high performance. Troubleshoot server-level issues and manage configurations. Required Skills & QualificationsStrong proficiency in PHP (Core PHP and frameworks like Laravel/CodeIgniter preferred). Solid knowledge of MySQL (schemas, stored procedures, indexing, optimization). Experience working with MAMP/LAMP server environments (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX. Good understanding of API integrations (REST, JSON, XML). Hands-on experience with Git version control. Problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and secure code. Nice to HaveExperience with WooCommerce / WordPress or other CMS platforms. Knowledge of cron jobs, cURL, and server-side scripting. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Lightsail, etc.). Knowledge of Docker or containerization tools. Experience2–5 years of proven experience in PHP/MySQL development. Experience in handling ongoing projects and building new modules from scratch.
