Back End Developer

Role Overview: As a Backend Developer specializing in NodeJS and GenAI at Valuelabs, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in coding with NodeJS, JavaScript & TypeScript, as well as NoSQL Databases. You will play a crucial role in developing scalable and highly available RESTful APIs using NodeJS. Your familiarity with programming tools and asynchronous programming patterns will be instrumental in designing and fine-tuning large language model (LLM)-based solutions. Additionally, you will work on real-time communication using WebSockets and Azure AI services, demonstrating your proficiency in CI/CD principles and problem-solving within a distributed services ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - Minimum 8 years of coding experience in NodeJS, JavaScript & TypeScript and NoSQL Databases - Develop scalable, highly available RESTful APIs using NodeJS - Familiarity with common programming tools such as RESTful APIs, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools, CI/CD tools - Knowledge in designing, fine-tuning, and engineering prompts for large language model (LLM)-based solutions, integrating them via APIs or SDKs - Familiarity with ORMs and ODMs like Sequelize, TypeORM, or Mongoose for database interaction - Implement real-time communication using WebSockets - Working knowledge of Azure AI services, including speech, language, OpenAI, PII detection - Proficient with CI/CD principles, actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem - Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes - Familiarity with firewall and network security concepts, including best practices for securing APIs and data in a regulated environment - Thorough understanding of responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system - Write non-blocking code, and resort to advanced techniques such as multi-threading when needed - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model - Document the code inline using JSDoc or other conventions - Ability to create automation test scripts is preferred - Proficient with the latest versions of ECMAScript (JavaScript or TypeScript) Qualifications Required: - Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing, and Documentation standards and practices - Experience in Agile methodology - Experience in Banking, Financial, and Fintech in an enterprise environment preferred - Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best-in-class technologies (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description),
