Azure Cloud Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• A minimum of 7 years of technical, hands-on experience in cloud engineering roles
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent professional experience
• Significant experience and expertise in infrastructure design and build, particularly in Azure Cloud technologies with some experience in AWS as well
• Experience working with Agile principles, Scrum frameworks, and iterative planning using Jira and Confluence
• Well-versed in infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, Ansible, PowerShell, TerraForm, and similar automation and orchestration technologies
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM / ITIL) and IT Operations and have experience enabling and operationalizing new technologies for service teams, bonus for experience using Jira Service Manager

• An Azure and AWS engineer that is passionate about transformative, innovative, resilient, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure technologies
• Someone that enjoys collaborative work and technical mentoring with peers and junior members of the infrastructure team
• An active listener and effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Someone with a strong affinity for creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM / ITIL) and IT Operations and have experience enabling and operationalizing new technologies for service teams
• A self-starter and self-motivated capable of working through projects and priorities on your own
• An analytical thinker who loves documentation and developing standards
