Job Description

As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) Large Holdings- Remediation related to Major Shareholding / Disclosure of Interest / Major Holdings, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Long, Short and Takeover Panel (TOP) reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing end-to-end Major Shareholding/Major Disclosure processes across multiple jurisdictions. - Overseeing monitoring and reporting of Long, Short and TOP positions to ensure timely and accurate filings. - Reviewing, validating, and submitting disclosure filings within regulatory timelines. - Monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact on disclosure processes. - Acting as the primary liaison for issuer queries, regulatory audits, and ad-hoc information requests while maintaining confidentiality. Desirable skill sets for success in this role include hands-on experience with major shareholding/disclosure of interest, familiarity with Equity & Equity related products, and Fixed Income Securities. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of Long, Short, and TOP reporting standards, regulatory systems, and position monitoring tools. Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and regulatory liaison are essential, along with the ability to work independently while mentoring junior team members. The purpose of this role is to support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution. Your accountabilities will involve: - Supporting various business areas with day-to-day initiatives and collaborating with teams across the bank. - Identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes. - Developing and implementing operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain efficiency. - Creating reports and presentations on operational performance and communicating findings to internal senior stakeholders. - Identifying industry trends to implement best practices in banking operations. - Participating in projects to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. As an AVP, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. You will lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, and coach employees while demonstrating leadership behaviours aligned with Listen, Energise, Align, and Develop (LEAD). Additionally, you will collaborate with other functions/business divisions, identify new directions for assignments, consult on complex issues, and take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls.
