Job Title:

Role Summary

The AVP – Banking Operations will lead and manage end-to-end operational processes within the banking captive, ensuring service excellence, process efficiency, risk mitigation, and adherence to global regulatory standards. The role involves managing large teams, optimizing workflows, enhancing controls, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations for assigned banking processes (e.g., Payments, Loans, KYC/AML ops, Trade Finance, Treasury, Cards, Reconciliations, etc.).
Ensure BAU delivery within SLA, TAT, accuracy standards, and quality parameters.
Lead, mentor, and motivate teams of managers, SMEs, and operations analysts.
Drive workforce planning, capacity management, and shift planning.
Act as the primary point of contact for global and regional business partners.
Provide regular performance updates, business insights, and risk reports to senior leadership.
Drive automation, digitization, and process re-engineering initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

10–15+ years of experience in banking operations within BFSI, preferably in a global captive.
Exposure to any combination of: Payments, Trade Finance, Lending Ops, Investment Banking Ops, Treasury Ops, KYC/AML, Reconciliations, Settlements, Account Services, etc.
Strong understanding of banking processes, risk & control frameworks, compliance norms, and regulatory guidelines.
