Job Description

Design, development, and integration of avionics systems

Ensure systems comply with industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, ARINC, MIL-STD, RTCA).

Make key decisions regarding architecture, component selection, and system interfaces

Allocate tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress.

Provide mentorship, code or design reviews, and technical guidance

Manage the integration of avionics hardware and software

Support troubleshooting and debugging during integration and test phases

Drive improvements in processes, documentation, and system performance

715 years in avionics, electrical engineering, aerospace systems, or related fields.

25+ years in a technical leadership or project management role within avionics.

Ability to design and define system-level architecture including hardware, software, data buses, power

distribution, and interfaces.

Selection of appropriate technologies: processors, sensors, communication protocols, redundancy, and fault

tolerance.

Knowledge of embedded systems: microcontrollers, FPGAs, RTOS, and real-time embedded software.

Integration of hardware and software components with closed-loop testing and system verification.

Expert in avionics communication standards: ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, RS-422/485, Ethernet, I2C, SPI,

UART for internal systems

Understanding of PCB design, signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations.

Proficiency in certification processes: DO-178C (Software), DO-254 (Hardware)

715+ years in aerospace, defense, Display systems, UAV, or aviation industries.

Prior experience leading avionics development projects from concept through certification and delivery.

Hands-on experience in all phases: concept, design, development, integration, testing, certification, and

sustainment.

Deep understanding of avionics system design, architecture, and systems engineering principles.

Strong ability to take technical ownership and drive a system from requirements through delivery

Ability to review complex schematics, requirements, or test data and identify issues or improvements.
