Automation Lead Engineer (6+ Years)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Implement and maintain Behavior Driven Development (BDD) test suites using tools like Cucumber or similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through effective test coverage, test data management, and defect tracking.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in test automation and BDD.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• 6+ years of experience in test automation using tools such as WebdriverIO, Selenium, QTP.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience in BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow) with at least 3 years of practical usage.
• Proficient in test data management using parameterization, XML, YAML, or similar formats.
• Solid understanding of STLC, SDLC, Test Management, and Defect Management processes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certified.

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation in DevOps workflows.
• Experience with test reporting tools and dashboards.
