Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. BOT Development

• Design, build, and deploy intelligent BOTs for system monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation.
  
• Integrate BOTs with infrastructure tools and operational workflows.
  

2. Self-Healing Automation

• Architect and implement self-healing systems using Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
  
• Automate detection and remediation of recurring infrastructure issues.
  

3. Patching Automation

• Develop automation scripts for patching and maintaining Unix/Linux-based systems.
  
• Ensure secure, efficient, and error-free patching cycles.
  

4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Use tools like

  Terraform

  and

  Ansible

  to provision and manage infrastructure.
• Improve deployment consistency and enable scalable infrastructure automation.
  

5. AI Ops Implementation

• Work with AI Ops platforms (Moogsoft, BigPanda, Dynatrace, etc.) to enhance observability and anomaly detection.
  
• Implement predictive alerts and automated incident response workflows.
  

6. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with SRE, Cloud, DevOps, and Operations teams to identify automation opportunities.
  
• Improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain well-structured documentation for automation workflows, BOT logic, IaC, and patching processes.
  
• Provide reports and insights on automation performance and success metrics.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong scripting skills:

  Python, Java, Bash/Shell scripting

• Unix/Linux system administration experience

• Hands-on Azure Cloud knowledge

• Experience with IaC tools:

  Terraform, Ansible (or similar)

• AI Ops exposure:

  Moogsoft, BigPanda, Dynatrace, or equivalent

• Deep understanding of automation, monitoring, and incident management

• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities
