Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Automation & AI Ops Engineer to lead initiatives in BOT development, self-healing automation, and infrastructure optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in scripting, cloud technologies, AI Ops tools, and infrastructure-as-code. This role involves building intelligent BOTs, automating patching, enhancing observability, and driving proactive issue resolution to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

BOT Development & Automation

• Design, build, and deploy intelligent BOTs for monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation.
  
• Implement BOT logic to reduce manual intervention and operational overhead.
  

Self-Healing & Predictive Automation

• Develop self-healing mechanisms using Python, Java, or Shell scripts to resolve infrastructure issues proactively.
  
• Integrate automation with monitoring and incident management tools.
  

Patching & System Automation

• Build and maintain automation scripts for patching Unix/Linux systems using Bash, Shell, or other scripting frameworks.
  
• Ensure timely and compliant patch deployment across systems.
  

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
  
• Work with Azure cloud services for provisioning, configuration, and automation.
  

AI Ops & Observability

• Leverage AI Ops platforms (Moogsoft, BigPanda, Dynatrace, etc.) for anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and predictive maintenance.
  
• Enhance observability and incident detection using AI-driven insights.
  

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with SRE, DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to identify automation opportunities.
  
• Continuously improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of:
  
• BOT workflows
  
• Automation logic
  
• Patching procedures
  
• IaC configurations
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, and Bash/Shell.
  
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux administration.
  
• Strong working knowledge of Azure cloud services.
  
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  
• Exposure to AI Ops platforms: Moogsoft, BigPanda, Dynatrace, or similar.
  
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
