AutoCAD Designer

An AutoCAD Draftsperson for an interior design firm is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings from design concepts, collaborating with designers and architects, and ensuring drawings meet project specifications and industry standards. Key duties include preparing 2D and 3D CAD drawings for layouts, joinery, and electrical plans, updating drawings as needed, and assisting with project documentation and site verification.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Draftsman to join our interior design team. You will collaborate closely with our interior designers and architects to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings, ensuring design concepts are translated into precise plans for construction, manufacturing, and installation

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain drawings: Prepare detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for interior projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery drawings.
• Collaborate with the team: Work closely with interior designers and architects to understand and translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
• Revise and update: Incorporate changes and revisions based on client feedback or project updates and maintain organized, updated drawing files.
• Ensure quality and compliance: Ensure all drawings are accurate, adhere to company standards, comply with industry regulations, and meet project timelines.
• Assist with project documentation: Help prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and other project documentation by providing accurate measurements and material details from the drawings.
• Conduct site visits: Visit project sites when necessary to take measurements, verify existing conditions, or confirm drawing accuracy.
• Required skills and qualifications
• Technical proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD software (2D is essential; 3D is an advantage). Familiarity with other design software like SketchUp or Revit is a plus. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drafting.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of interior design principles, technical drawing standards, and construction techniques.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with designers and other stakeholders.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all drawings and plans.
• Time management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet project deadlines, and work efficiently.
• Education: A diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is often required, along with demonstrable experience.
• Experience: Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, preferably within an interior design or architectural firm.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
