Authentication Service Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Authentication Service Engineer

with strong expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting authentication systems. This role focuses on onboarding applications to

Microsoft Entra ID

, enabling

MFA

and

SSO integrations

, and ensuring seamless adoption of secure authentication mechanisms across the enterprise.

The successful candidate will collaborate with application owners, product owners, business analysts, and scrum masters to ensure smooth integration and resolve any technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Engineering

Collaborate with application owners to understand requirements and provide integration guidance and best practices.
Provide engineering expertise to assist applications migrating between identity platforms.
Implement and manage authentication systems using
Microsoft Entra ID
, including
MFA
and
SSO
configuration.
Ensure all implementations adhere to relevant security standards, processes, and lifecycle protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve authentication and access-related issues efficiently.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and integration guides.
Stay up to date on
Microsoft Entra ID
capabilities and evolving authentication trends.

Business

Understand the
ICS business model
and contribute to the adoption of modern technology approaches (Agile, DevOps, Cloud-first).
Drive change initiatives and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Deliver scalable solutions, frameworks, and patterns to reduce operational costs and eliminate redundant processes.
Take ownership of major incidents caused by automation solutions and ensure effective resolution.
Prioritize
risk remediation
and
risk mitigation
initiatives.

Processes

Contribute to improving technology processes for faster and simpler user and client experiences.
Ensure 100% compliance with
SDF
,
cybersecurity
, and
resiliency/capacity
standards.
Periodically review key success metrics (ROI, operationalization, monitoring) for automation tools and make improvements as needed.
Ensure automation and tooling are incorporated into product/vendor selection and verified for BAU/production readiness.

Other Responsibilities

function.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience implementing and managing authentication systems.
Strong understanding of
identity protocols
:
OpenID Connect
,
SAML 2.0
,
LDAP
, etc.
Hands-on expertise with
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
, including
MFA
and
SSO
configuration.
Experience integrating both
cloud-based
and
on-premises
applications with identity platforms.
Working knowledge of
ForgeRock
or similar authentication platforms (preferred).
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in large-scale enterprise identity management environments.
Familiarity with
CI/CD
,
DevOps
, and
Agile
delivery models.
Understanding of
risk management
and
security compliance
frameworks.
