Auditor / Senior Accountant

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and correct entries prepared by junior accountants; document errors and fixes
• Own month-end and year-end closure activities including reconciliations, schedules, and management reporting
• Prepare and review workings for consolidation and support consolidated financial statements
• Identify process gaps, propose controls, and implement checklists for consistency
• Clear backlog items, investigate variances, rectify misclassifications, and align ledgers
• Ensure statutory and internal policy compliance across vouchers, approvals, and audit trails
• Prepare concise completion notes and report progress/issues to management.
  

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience reviewing junior accountants' work and identifying fixes
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and closing processes
• Understanding of consolidation concepts (eliminations, intercompany, minority interest, mapping)
• Exposure to Singapore compliance workflows (IRAS filings, GST, withholding tax, XBRL)
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivots, lookups, reconciliation templates, error tracking)
• Strong written and verbal communication; diagnostic questioning skills
• Self-starter mindset, comfortable working independently and meeting Singapore deadlines.
  

Good to Have

• Audit background (Big 4 or mid-tier) and industry accounting exposure
• Familiarity with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
• Prior remote work experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Supersee) and structured reporting.
  

Qualification

• ACCA or Commerce Graduate preferred
• Strong relevant experience in reviewing others' work is essential.
