Job Description

As an Audit Associate at EY, you will play a crucial role in helping clients meet their reporting requirements, providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters while receiving leading-class learning and development opportunities tailored to your unique interests and motivations. Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional audit activities for clients, eventually becoming a credible advisor influencing clients and engagement teams on impactful resolutions. - Work collaboratively in a team to understand clients" businesses and collect necessary data for audits. - Support planning, lead fieldwork, manage performance, and keep engagement leaders informed on audit engagements. - Complete audit processes, document higher-risk areas, and enhance technical and business skills in revenue, costs, financial instruments, and tax. - Analyze financial statement data to ensure accuracy and fairness. - Build and maintain productive relationships with client personnel. - Develop an understanding of current market trends, share knowledge, and mentor junior colleagues. Skills and Attributes for Success: - Leading fieldwork, managing performance, and updating engagement leaders on audit engagements. - Completing audit processes, documenting higher-risk areas, and enhancing technical skills in revenue, financial instruments, and income taxes. - Engaging clients, providing authoritative advice, and maintaining professionalism throughout transactions. - Developing understanding of market trends, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior colleagues. - Understanding clients" unique ambitions and needs, referring them to colleagues in other teams to broaden business relationships. Qualifications Required: - Masters in Accounts, ACA/CA/ACCA, or equivalent international qualification. - Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. - Thorough knowledge of auditing techniques, IFRS, and local GAAP. - Experience across the entire audit process, including planning, execution, and reporting. - Excellent communication, negotiation skills, collaborative management approach. - Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements. - Understanding of risk-based auditing, risk, and control strategies, Q&RM procedures. - Compliance with regulatory requirements.
