Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist

As a flexible and resourceful Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders. Your role will involve communicating with patients and collaborating with their family members, physicians, and teachers to create effective treatment plans. Utilizing a combination of traditional therapies and innovative techniques, you will strive to deliver the best care possible. It is essential to stay current with advancements in the field by attending conferences, conducting research, and expanding professional networks. Educating patients and families on speech disorders, maintaining detailed patient records, and providing mentorship to speech therapy students will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Assess, diagnose, screen, and prevent language, speech, and swallowing disorders. - Communicate with patients and collaborate with their families, physicians, and teachers to develop effective treatment plans. - Utilize a mix of traditional and innovative therapies for optimal care. - Stay updated on advancements in the field through conferences, research, and networking. - Educate patients and families on speech disorders and available therapies. - Maintain detailed patient notes and progress reports. - Provide mentorship and workshops to speech therapy students. - Evaluate patient progress and adjust therapy programs as needed. Qualifications Required: - Diploma/Bachelors/Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology (RCI Certified). - Relevant license and certification. - Experience with specific disorders and age groups may be necessary. - Strong understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments. - Proficiency in database management software. - Excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, and resourcefulness skills. - Willingness to conduct research and attend conferences.
