Job Description

Job Summary:

Test Engineer ATE (Automated Test Equipment)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain
automated test equipment (ATE)
setups for product validation, verification, and production testing.
Write and debug
test programs and scripts
for ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne, National Instruments, Advantest, Keysight, or custom setups).
Perform
functional, parametric, and system-level testing
of PCBs, ICs, embedded systems, or electronic modules.
Collaborate with design, firmware, and manufacturing teams to define test specifications and coverage.
Analyze test data, diagnose failures, and perform
root cause analysis
on defective units.
Optimize test cycles to reduce test time and improve throughput and yield.
Support test equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Document test procedures, results, and technical reports.
Contribute to
DFT (Design for Testability)
improvements in product designs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of
electronic components, circuits, and testing principles
.
Proficiency with at least one ATE platform or test automation tool:

National Instruments (LabVIEW/TestStand)
Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight
Or custom ATE solutions using Python, C/C++, or LabWindows/CVI

Experience with
oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies
.
Ability to read and interpret
schematics, BOMs, and layout files
.
Knowledge of
DFT, boundary scan (JTAG), ICT, and functional testing
.
Familiarity with
production test environments
, yield tracking, and data logging.
