**Job Description:** As an Entry Level Manager at Marriott International, your role involves leading and assisting in the successful completion of daily shift requirements in the front office areas, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. Your primary goal is to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and assisting the Front Desk Team: - Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members - Building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among the team - Serving as a role model for appropriate behaviors - Coaching, counseling, and encouraging employees - Handling employee questions and concerns - Guiding daily Front Desk shift operations - Communicating performance expectations to employees - Monitoring and Supporting Progress Toward Guest Services and Front Desk Goals: - Managing day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work - Handling complaints, disputes, and grievances - Supervising staffing levels to meet operational needs and financial objectives - Training staff on credit policies and procedures - Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service: - Providing services above and beyond for customer satisfaction - Improving service by assisting individuals to understand guest needs - Empowering employees to provide excellent customer service - Handling guest problems and complaints - Managing Projects and Policies: - Implementing customer recognition/service programs - Reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results - Ensuring employees have proper supplies and uniforms - Utilizing a guest information tracking system for repeat guest recognition - Supporting Handling of Human Resource Activities: - Identifying developmental needs of others and coaching or mentoring - Providing guidance and direction to subordinates - Participating in an ongoing employee recognition program - Conducting training when appropriate **Qualifications Required:** - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or related area - OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with no work experience required At Marriott International, we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer, valuing and celebrating the unique backgrounds of our associates.
