As a Procurement Officer, your role involves searching for potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of spares and services. Your responsibilities include: - Adhering to organizational procedures and approved budgets set by the management. - Negotiating contracts and finalizing purchase orders on a credit basis. - Ensuring compliance with statutory and policy requirements, as well as functional SLAs. - Striving to reduce the average lead time and increase the conversion rate of Purchase Requests (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO). - Evaluating supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and pricing to meet organizational standards. - Following corporate and procurement policies diligently, aiming to minimize rejection rates and resolve supplier issues promptly. - Reducing transit time and losses through quality inspections and accurate inventory management. - Planning and purchasing equipment, services, and supplies while maintaining pricing records. - Taking ownership of procurement policies and guidelines to ensure stakeholder satisfaction through timely material delivery. - Monitoring inventories daily and achieving the yearly PR to PO conversion rate within the allotted lead time. - Sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials from local and overseas vendors. - Evaluating vendor quotations to align with technical and commercial project specifications. - Smooth mobilization of contracts and timely delivery of spares and services. - Generating purchase orders for spares and services above INR 10 Lakhs and finalizing them through negotiations. - Identifying potential vendors and assisting in their development into permanent suppliers. - Documenting Minutes of Meeting (MOM) for negotiations and obtaining Materials Despatch Clearance Certificate before converting PRs into POs.,
