Associate Specialist, Health, Safety and Environment

You will be responsible for following the organization's Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of yourself and others in the workplace. It will be your duty to instruct the team in safe working methods and identify instances of risky behaviors within the team, taking appropriate action and escalating serious issues when necessary. Your role will involve investigating standard incidents using current regulatory and compliance processes, systems, and procedures. You will be required to take action to solve immediate compliance issues and advise colleagues on more complex problems. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering audit assignments in nominated client areas. This will involve developing individual audit plans and detailed scopes, conducting fieldwork, reporting findings and opinions, agreeing on corrective actions with auditees, and referring serious or contentious issues to the lead auditor. You will also be expected to resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and related policies. When necessary, you may need to refer to others for the interpretation of policy. Furthermore, you will support the collection of business requirements using various methods such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
