Job Title: Associate Software Engineer - Android Trainee
Location: Mohali

Summary
We are looking for a passionate Android Developer Intern to join our product team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or students who want hands-on experience in building and maintaining Android applications. You will work closely with senior developers, learn industry best practices, and contribute to real product development.

Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining Android applications using Java/Kotlin.
Learn and support integration of third-party libraries and APIs.
Help implement clean, readable, and maintainable code following standard design patterns.
Work on UI implementation based on provided designs and guidelines.
Debug issues, fix bugs, and support app improvements.
Participate in code reviews and learn refactoring techniques.
Stay updated with basic Android development trends and tools.
Collaborate with the team and contribute ideas during discussions.
Support optimization and documentation of development processes.

Requirements
0–1 year of experience or strong academic/project exposure in Android development.
Basic understanding of OOPS concepts and programming in Java and/or Kotlin.
Familiarity with Android SDK, Activities, Fragments, and layouts.
Basic knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and parsing libraries like Gson.
Introductory understanding of Jetpack components ( LiveData, Room, etc.).
Awareness of common Android libraries such as Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide/Picasso (hands-on experience is a plus).
Basic understanding of MVVM / MVC architecture patterns.
Familiarity with Git for version control.
Willingness to learn performance optimisation, threading, and offline storage concepts.
Exposure to Google Maps or Firebase (FCM) is an added advantage.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate with a team.

Preferred
At least one academic or personal Android project (college project, internship project, or personal app).
Enthusiasm to learn new tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Qualification:
BE/B.Tech/MCA.
