Associate Professor - Mathematics

We are seeking an accomplished and dedicated Associate Professor in Mathematics to contribute to excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding UG/PG students, leading academic initiatives, and supporting research development within the department.

Eligibility Criteria (As per UGC/AICTE/TN Govt Norms):

• Educational Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Mathematics or Master’s Degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics

• Experience:
• A minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized institution

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate-level Mathematics courses (Engineering / Science streams).
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and course content.
• Supervise student projects, mini-research activities, and academic counseling.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic planning committees.
• Publish quality research papers and pursue funded research projects.
• Engage in interdisciplinary teaching collaborations with Engineering and Science departments.
• Support the institution’s academic and accreditation-related activities.
• Mentor junior faculty members and student research groups.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Strong academic and research background with a consistent publication record.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in using digital platforms like MATLAB, etc (for applied mathematics).
• Knowledge of ICT tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for effective content delivery.
• Experience in academic administration, question paper setting, and evaluation.

Desirable Criteria (Add-Ons):

• Familiarity with statistical tools and mathematical modeling for engineering applications.
• Experience in guiding NET/SET-qualified students or Ph.D. candidates.
• Involvement in student clubs, math forums, and outreach programs is a plus.
• Knowledge in Engineering Mathematics, Applied Statistics, and Discrete Mathematics is advantageous.

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per institutional norms and UGC/Tamil Nadu Government guidelines.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
