About Alstom in India

Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. NETWORK & LINKS: INTERNAL & EXTERNAL

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To maintain the vehicles to standards of Quality, Cost and Delivery that meets the Customer expectations as a minimum.

To carry out such maintenance work on a shift basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preventive & Corrective maintenance of locomotives.
• Maintenance of underframe equipment.
• Maintenance of Air supply unit.
• Maintenance of brake equipment.
• Maintenance of HVAC unit.
• Maintenance of Roof equipment.
• Maintenance &Troubleshooting of Pneumatic Brake system.
• Maintenance of traction motor assembly.
• Replacement of Traction motor, Transformer & other major equipment.
• To report accidents/incidents.
• To adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety.
• UNDERSTANDING WORK INSTRUCTIONS RELATED TO ACTIVITY.
• Plan, organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities and work independently.
• Inspect, maintain and repair as needed all facilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical from recognized University.(Regular Course)

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

• Team Player. Supports team members
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
• Be capable of accepting training in other skills

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable

• 3-5 years of experience in rolling stock manufacturing/services

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

• Language Skills: Proficient in English language & Hindi.
• IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
