Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for Associate Medical Advisor Oncology, Medical Affairs located in Mumbai, India. The position reports to the Senior Medical Advisor Haematology, Medical Affairs, Janssen India.
Position overview:
Enable the associated franchise for all their scientific needs and partner with various stakeholders for all scientific purposes including clinical trial designs, publications, medical education initiatives .
Key Responsibilities :
As a associate Medical Advisor at J&J Innovative Medicine India, you will play a key role in leading and shaping one of the Hematology Portfolio strategy for one of the key molecules closely in collaboration with cross functional team, developing and executing strategic robust and innovative medical plans with impact, leading and developing targeted evidence generation strategic plans.
In this role, you will also be facilitating in-market registered product access by developing scientific relationships with external stakeholders such as key opinion leaders, prescribers, nurses, allied health professionals, patients, and special interest groups.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent communication and influencing skills with all internal stakeholders to develop and implement medical strategy, to shape the external scientific landscape that can enable the fastest access to new products/indications for our patients, medical staff and the greater community.
You will represent the TA for medical & scientific affairs on all relevant cross functional teams and internal and external initiatives. The position will require 20-30% travel for interaction with customers and various stakeholders.
Some key responsibilities in this role will include, but not limited to:
Developing a strong Medical Affairs Strategy and Tactical Plan for the allocated therapeutic areas, in alignment with local organization, Regional & Global overall MAF strategy and providing deep TA expert information and advice to internal teams. Close collaboration with key stakeholders from marketing, regulatory, access, Med Ed and GCO during local Business Planning and Strategic Planning, with overall ownership for the Medical Affairs component of a brand or business unit plan and ensuring medical leadership during Brand & Medical Cross Functional Team meetings to ensure alignment to Medical teams objectives. As a key driver stakeholder, along with marketing, you will provide guidance in the development of promotional, educational and disease state materials (including digital, slide decks and printed) providing medical advice. You will be responsible for ensuring all materials are developed in compliance with relevant company and Code requirements, ensuring timely review and approval for all assigned materials. Developing and maintaining KOL engagement strategy Uncovering and establishing new partnerships with key peak bodies Leading the development of data generation plans and activities to address data gaps to achieve better patient outcomes & aligned overall brand strategy, as well as managing safety review for data generation activities. Managing all requests from clinicians to access Janssen products either directly, or by ensuring the relevant function is involved in a timely manner
Working closely with Marketing / Market Access, Medical Education and Training Department to ensure that there is adequate knowledge on individual therapeutic areas / brands
Qualifications - External
Post Graduate Medical Degree (MD) in Pharmacology or in any Medical Specialty.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Good understanding of medical affairs function
- Understanding of local regulatory policy and industrys code of practice related to drug registration, pharmaceutical promotion and clinical research.
