Associate Director, Revenue Accounting

As a Senior Manager APAC Revenue Accounting at Warner Bros. Discovery, your role involves leading the accounting team responsible for Linear Networks and Streaming Ad Sales, Distribution, and Content Revenue. Your main responsibilities include: - Leading a team of 8-10 employees in Hyderabad, India, ensuring deadlines are met, providing career development, ensuring accurate revenue accounting, performing technical accounting research, and implementing process improvements. - Ensuring correct revenue accounting in compliance with ASC 606 US GAAP and local statutory reporting accounting principles, including recording revenue, agency commission, deferred revenue, and financial statement presentation. - Reviewing customer contracts for proper revenue recognition, leading discussions with auditors, and managing system integrations and process improvements. - Building relationships with key stakeholders, providing high-quality advice, and defining new deals in the region. Qualifications and Experience required for this role include: - At least 15 years of accounting experience with a strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX requirements. - Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience. - BS/BA in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university, Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or CPA from AICPA. Desired qualifications include a Masters degree in Accounting or MBA, Big 4 Accounting firm experience, experience leading international accounting teams, attention to detail, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines under pressure, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
