Description
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and neurological assessments, to diagnose and treat various neurological conditions. Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate patient care across multiple healthcare settings. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies, such as MRI, CT scans, and electroencephalograms (EEG), to assist in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders. Provide expert consultation and guidance to healthcare providers, residents, and medical students on the evaluation and management of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders. Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and multidisciplinary meetings to review clinical cases, discuss treatment options, and optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families about neurological disorders, treatment options, medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness and disease prevention. Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards. Stay abreast of current literature, research findings, and evidence-based practices in neurology through continuous learning, professional development activities, and participation in conferences and seminars.
