As a Planning & Analysis Associate in the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in defining, refining, and delivering set goals for the firm. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the month-end closing process for CIB Tech & Ops Planning & Analysis (P&A) activities. - Preparing and analyzing expense and headcount reports, comparing them against plans and forecasts, and conducting thorough variance analysis to track changes across functions and individual business units. - Overseeing the entire Capitalization and Amortization process for the DPS organization. - Assisting in the preparation of Executive Management Reports (EMR) and Financial Decks on a monthly basis and during budget cycles for CIB Tech & Ops and Senior Management teams. - Collaborating effectively with CIB Tech & Ops Finance & Business Management (F&BM) and Central teams to understand business drivers and indirect allocations. - Supporting monthly forecasting, mid-year outlook, annual budgeting exercises, and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis tasks. - Tracking and managing key DPS initiatives such as location strategy, expense reduction programs, and productivity improvements. - Providing support for management reviews and delivering value-added analytics. To excel in this role, you should have experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a proven ability to work with global stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications is essential. Familiarity with financial systems such as Essbase, Paragon, and Cognos will be beneficial. You should be capable of working independently while also providing oversight and direction to team members. Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a proven track record of teamwork and interaction with individuals at various levels and across countries are crucial. Your keen attention to detail will be pivotal in supporting management reporting with clear and concise data analysis and presentation. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include experience with QlikView or Tableau for management reporting, advanced Excel skills including knowledge of Macros and financial modeling, and being a Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance with a minimum of 4 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and variance/trend analysis.
