Assistant Vice President Controls , Impairments

Role Overview: As an Assistant Vice President in Barclays Impairments Controls Centre of Excellence, your main responsibility will be to embed a control functionality by leading the development of the team's output. You will play a crucial role in managing a team responsible for the Governance and Control aspects of the Impairments FTC. Your focus will be on ensuring a transparent, detailed, and well-understood approach to Governance and Control within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and direct the Governance and Control analysts in your team - Ensure the team produces outputs regularly and in a timely manner as agreed with stakeholders - Identify opportunities to automate activities to enhance efficiency and accuracy - Regularly interact with stakeholders across various teams and organizational levels - Train and develop talent within the organization in technical, business, and leadership aspects - Interact with key stakeholders in Risk, CCO, Finance, and Treasury to ensure clear understanding of the team's results Qualifications Required: - Data management/analysis skills, with experience in using widely known commercially available data processing software like Tableau, SQL, Power BI - Strong team working and stakeholder management skills across all levels - Clear and concise communication to present analysis results up to level of D in the organization - Graduate / Post Graduate degree Additional Company Details: The Impairment Finance Transaction Cycle (FTC) is a specialized team focusing on credit risk impairment analytics and reporting, consisting of approximately 60 colleagues from Finance and Risk. The team aims to create a global center of excellence in impairment analytics and forecasting by investing in skills, technological infrastructure, and process re-engineering to meet evolving demands in credit risk management. Overall, as an AVP in this role, you are expected to demonstrate strong organizational and analysis skills, adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies, and contribute to the company's values and mindset of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and stewardship.,
