Assistant Team Lead

You are applying for the position of Assistant Team Lead at ArcelorMittal's Global Business and Technologies hub in India. As a Reporting Application Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to support and maintain enterprise reporting solutions for FIPM business functions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data availability, report accuracy, and system performance across various platforms like Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and SAP BW. Your efforts will directly contribute to operational visibility, manufacturing efficiency, and supply chain decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining reporting applications and dashboards, ensuring timely data refreshes, system availability, and issue resolution. You will collaborate with data and IT teams to address incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Additionally, you will maintain integrations and data flows between different platforms, support performance tuning, and optimize queries to meet reporting SLAs. Your role will also involve working closely with stakeholders from Finance, Purchasing, Maintenance & Operations to understand evolving business needs and translate them into technical solutions. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 6-8 years of experience in BI/reporting application support, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain contexts. Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SAP BW on HANA is essential. You should also have experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms, and a good understanding of data pipelines, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. Problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams are crucial for success. Preferred qualifications include certifications in Azure, SAP, or ITIL, experience in Agile or DevOps-driven environments, and familiarity with scripting in SQL, Python (Databricks), or Spark. Exposure to Agile environments and DevOps for data platforms is also beneficial.
