Job Description

Assistant – Secretarial & Compliance (Future Company Secretary Track)

Job Purpose:

To support the company’s secretarial, legal, and compliance functions and gain hands-on exposure to corporate governance, with the aim of developing into the statutory Company Secretary (CS) role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining statutory registers, records, and compliance files.
  • Draft notices, agendas, and minutes of meetings (Board, Committees, General Meetings).
  • Support in e-filing of forms and returns with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Registrar of Companies (ROC), and other regulators.
  • Track and update compliance calendar (Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, labour, etc. as applicable).
  • Assist in preparation of Annual Reports, Directors’ Reports, and other statutory documents.
  • Provide research support on corporate laws, governance, and regulatory changes.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulators under the guidance of the CS/Management.
  • Handle general legal and compliance documentation (agreements, resolutions, approvals).
  • Coordinate with internal departments for compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Eligibility:

  • Graduate in Commerce, Law, or Management (B.Com, BBA, BA LLB preferred).
  • Pursuing CS course with ICSI (Executive Programme level preferred, Foundation cleared acceptable).
  • Basic knowledge of Companies Act, 2013 and ROC/MCA filings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and good drafting & communication skills.
  • Experience: Minimum 02 Years & Max.08 Years.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow into a statutory CS position.

  • Support and flexibility provided for completing ICSI exams.
  • On qualifying as CS and completing required training, progression to Company Secretary (KMP) role.
