Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager QA/QC to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of ensuring quality standards, implementing quality control systems, and managing construction processes to meet industry benchmarks. The position will require a proactive approach to quality assurance, auditing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Assurance:

• Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for various construction activities.
• Monitor the construction process to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Inspect materials, construction equipment, and work areas for quality and conformity.
• Supervise quality control tests and inspections (e.g., concrete, soil, welding, and structural integrity).

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain quality documentation such as inspection records, test reports, and compliance certificates.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on quality-related issues, nonconformities, and corrective actions to senior management.
• Collaborate with project managers to document quality results and follow up on any discrepancies.

Standards & Procedures:

• Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and relevant codes of practice.
• Assist in the development of project quality plans, manuals, and inspection checklists.
• Provide guidance to the project team regarding quality procedures and best practices.

Inspection & Audits:

• Conduct routine inspections of ongoing construction work to detect potential quality issues.
• Perform audits of subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to contractual and quality standards.
• Lead or support internal and external audits, ensuring proper corrective actions are taken when required.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss quality matters.
• Work closely with the site and project management teams to resolve issues related to quality control.
• Facilitate training for junior QA/QC staff and ensure that the team adheres to the company's quality policies.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering 7-10 yrs (NO DCE)
• Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance/Control (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles within the PEB or Oil & Gas industry, including RCC & Structural Steel Fabrication & Erection, Interior finishes, and MEP works
• Must have experience in handling large-scale projects worth 200 Cr or above, covering multiple building
• Willing to travel across India
• Handled multiple site locations

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and quality standards & IS Codes
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in using QA/QC software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Preparation of weekly / monthly MIS reports
• Strong knowledge of Standards & IS Codes
• Preparation of SOPS, project quality plan, inspection & test plan(ITP), Checklist & Construction methodologies
• Conduct regular trainings and Onsite audit
