Assistant Professor of English

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Assistant Professor of English to join our faculty

team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in English

language, literature, and communication skills, guiding students in research and academic projects,

and contributing to the overall academic and cultural environment of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate/graduate courses in English Language, Literature, Communication, and
• related fields.
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, lectures, and academic activities in alignment
• with curriculum objectives.
• Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic writing.
• Conduct assessments, examinations, and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and faculty committees.
• Engage in scholarly research, publications, and professional development activities.
• Mentor and guide students in academic and career-related matters.
• Contribute to extracurricular and cultural activities of the department.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s degree in English / English Literature / Linguistics from a recognized university
• (Ph.D. preferred).
• NET/SET qualification as per UGC norms (mandatory as per regulations).
• Previous teaching or research experience at the college/university level preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods and technology.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in English Literature, Linguistics, ELT, or Communication Skills.
• Academic research, publications, and conference participation.
• Proficiency in digital learning platforms and online teaching tools.
• Team-oriented with the ability to contribute to departmental growth.
