Position Summary:

The Department of Computer Science at Govt Polytechnic invites applications for a full-time faculty position. We seek candidates committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach a wide range of computer science courses, contribute to curriculum development, mentor students, and engage in scholarly activities.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science, including core and elective subjects (e.g., Data Structures, Algorithms, AI, Cybersecurity, Databases, Software Engineering).
• Develop course materials and update curriculum in line with industry and academic advancements.
• Advise and mentor students on academic, career, and research goals.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in relevant areas of computer science.
• Seek and secure external funding for research and student support.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service and governance.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners on interdisciplinary and applied research.
• Engage in professional development and stay current with developments in the field.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field (ABD candidates may be considered for certain positions).
• Demonstrated potential or record of excellence in teaching at the college/university level.
• Evidence of research productivity or strong potential for scholarly contributions.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching a diverse student population.
• Industry experience in software development, data science, cybersecurity, or related areas.
• Experience with online or hybrid teaching methodologies.
• Record of securing research funding or industry collaboration.
