C.V. Raman Global University (CGU), Odisha started in 1997 as a degree-level engineering college, named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE). Notable Awards and Honours:

• In the field of research, the University received grants over 5 crores in 2022.
• Ms. Manisha Padhi, alumni of CGU have been appointed as the ADC to The Honble Governor of Mizoram in 2023 and became the first ever female to hold the position.
• Ms. Swagatika Mohanty, Civil Engineering (2013-17), has bagged the 15th rank in Odisha Civil Services Exam in 2023 and is now a functional, respectable, responsible OAS.
• Safia Aktar, Anshu Kumari, and Radhika Rani Panda won the 1st prize at 10-Hour Women Hackathon organised by Trithon Triplets 2k23.
• Abhishek Kumar, B.Tech (ECE) awarded the Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar at Odisha Technological Conclave, 2023.
• Mr. Praveen Giri won the Silver Medal in the area of Water Technology at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• Mr. Subrat Patel won Medallion of Excellence in the area of Restaurant Services at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• 9 students represented India in World skills 2022 in 7 various Skills.
• CGU won Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022 in Software Edition.

Where You Come In We are looking for an energetic and dynamic pedagogue with a demonstrating mind-set to combine scholarly achievements, teaching excellence and service to the University and Community for the position of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not restricted to the following:

I. Student Learning Experience

• Oversee the design and development of the overall curriculum.
• Design, develop and deliver a range of programme of study at various levels.
• Lead the development and clarification of academic standards and quality for the subject area.
• Working with the Dean, lead the development and implementation of the student learning experience strategy.
• Make a significant contribution to the development of academic policies across the University.
• Ensure that academic policy and practice is inclusive and accessible.
• Develop, promote and evaluate the use of innovative assessment methods.

II. Research, Enterprise and Scholarship

• Support the development and implementation of the research and enterprise strategy.
• Lead and coordinate research activity in the subject area.
• Manage research and other collaborative partnerships with other educational institutions or other external bodies.
• Lead bids for research, consultancy and other additional funds.
• Write publications of an internationally recognized standard or disseminate research findings using media appropriate to the discipline.
• Conduct research into learning and teaching methodologies and disseminate best practice within the University and externally.

III. Managing People and Resources

• Undertake personal tutoring.
• Provide support to students by using listening, interpersonal and pastoral care skills to deal with sensitive issues.
• Appreciating the needs of individual students and their circumstances ensuring that these are addressed and accommodated appropriately, and students are aware of how to access University support.
• Taking responsibility for dealing with referred issues for students within own programmes and providing support for colleagues dealing with student matters, referring them to sources of further help if required. Liaison and Networking.
• Lead and develop internal and external networks to foster collaboration and share information and ideas to promote the subject and the University.
• Participate in relevant internal and external networks Promote and market the work of the University in the subject area both nationally and internationally.
• Contribute to the enhancement of research quality and thinking in the field by being involved in quality assurance, external decision-making bodies, research councils, groups and subject associations.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor

• First Class (60%) career throughout.
• A Master's Degree (MTech (in CSE)/ MCA/ IT).
• A minimum of two years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited
