Role & responsibilities

Purpose of the Role:

Quality Control is primarily responsible for managing and resolving customer complaints, performing quality inspection and audits, developing garment mock-ups to support new product development, and enhancing quality of garment through chemical treatment and process development. Additionally, this position would also be responsible for visiting customers (garment houses) in order to inspect and validate customer complaints and claims.

Initiating change and adapting to the environment. Guide & Control of Production & Quality, Worker skill development. Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to resource optimization, Cost reduction ,health improvement. Work closely with internal production team, technical support for activities, managing teams and projects across the Production/ marketing . Inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence, mentor them as they develop new skills and establish the atmosphere to retain the same. Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on time to the highest quality standards. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritized and facilitated. Ensuring the smoothness of operations flow in 3 shifts by effective communication and information flow to bottom line. Handling customer complaints and frequent travelling to customer sites for troubleshooting.

Customer Service & Complaint Management

  • Maintain a proper record of all incoming quality related customer complaints from customers / sales & marketing, including their current status, accountability, root cause and final resolution and share reports with management on a periodic basis
  • Ensure a systematic method for classifying and tagging complaints as per internal procedures
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the customer complaint / issues and then review them comprehensively to ascertain the authenticity of the claim.
  • For genuine complaints, determine the root cause and recommend the most optimal solution to section head in order resolve the complaint. In all other cases, prepare a detailed explanation for the customer, highlighting the actual problem and clarifying Vardhmans stance

Internal Quality Control and Audits

  • Perform periodic and regular quality audits in order to ensure robustness of quality checking mechanisms on the shop floor. Ensure that all quality related parameters are as per customer specification and requirement
  • Prepare daily reports highlighting instances of non-compliance and share them with the management along with proposed recommendation for preventing similar deviations in the future

Job Responsbilities

  • Looking after QA activity in QA (Grouping section)
  • Ensuring best quality upto the customer
  • To analysis the reprocess reason of fabric on daily basis with production and do corrective action where required.
  • Timely decision on hold material
  • Stock Analysis for its fast liquidity.
  • Interaction with production team to ensure good quality
  • Ruining the section with optimism manpower
  • To ensure the less customer complaint regarding the grouping section
  • On the job training and motivation of subordinates.
  • To develop subordinates through communication meeting and counseling time to time.
  • Following the SOP as defined for the organization.
  • To handle the customer complaint regarding shade, csv.

Supervision and Daily Work Management

  • Responsible for allocating and prioritizing tasks to operators to ensure alignment with department / section objectives.
  • Regularly oversee and review their work and output and provide guidance and technical expertise where required.

Preferred candidate profile

  • The candidate shall typically possess 10-15 years of experience in the field of quality inspection, quality assurance and auditing quality, preferably large textile organization supplying fabric to garment houses among other customers.
  • Strong understanding of garmenting process and commonly occurring quality defects and their causes. Good knowledge of mockup development process is also required
  • Well versed in inspecting and auditing fabric quality along several parameters.
  • Strong knowledge of various chemical treatments for fabric to ensure enhanced quality of garment
